6 Things To Do While Watching A Korean Drama

Editor's Note: This is essentially my script for the video version of this information, so if you'd rather watch than read, head over to YouTube: http://goo.gl/BhOHIaBut if you prefer to reading to watching, stay here:

Does watching Korean Dramas make you feel like a lazy slug? Does it change from morning to night without you noticing it at times?

I don’t, using the power of MULTITASKING!

This is the story all about how you can not be totally lazy while you watch Korean dramas and you can actually get some stuff done even if you are watching back to back to back to back episodes.

  1. Exercise; using your phone, laptop, or tv, you can get sexier while you watch OR if you at the gym, you can run, jog, or exercise for 30 to an hour, or MORE!
  2. Bake; if you make brownies or cookies, by the end of your episode, they’ll be ready. It’s also an incentive to get away and go back into the real world.
  3. Eat (duh); this is basic but some people might not know, ok? Get snacks and what not or a full course meal and watch away!
  4. Laundry; So since I hate doing laundry (the horror!), it makes it much better to do it while I watch dramas, it’ll be washing and drying while you watch, and then after that’s done you can fold and hang up clothes while your eyes are on the screen.
  5. Sauna/Spa/Massage; this is awesome, you get to relax while you watch dramas, which can be stressful sometimes. If you’re in the sauna, don’t get so absorbed that you don’t realized that you’re dying and need a break.
  6. Getting hair/nails done; sometimes, getting your hair or nails done can be so boring its painful. Keep yourself entertained, and let the manicurist/hairstylist concentrate on what they're doing LOL.

On the other hand, there are things you definitely shouldn’t do. DO NOT:

do homework/study
sleep
shower
work - (I know that you’ll do it anyway)
drive
walk on the street or in a crowd
play sports

What's a Jjong?

According to my research this is what a Jjong looks like:

Jjong is the chosen pet name or nickname for Kim Jong Hyun, main vocalist for Kpop group SHINee and ballad group, The Ballad.

He got the nickname Jjong when... well, since ever. Jong Hyun's fan call him Jjong as shortened version of his name and the romanization of the Hangul syllable "종", which is Jjong with two jj's.

On twitter, fans are wishing him a happy birthday, using the trending hash-tag, #0408JongHyunDay. Many fans have also taken to changing their twitter handles to something Jjong-love related.

To say he's famous is an understatement. This guy is quite beloved. This are the results of Jjong on a Google search page:
And Tumblr? For the love of Jjong:

And above all, a Jjong has abs:

For the love of abs, science, and world peace. Love Jjong

5 Things You Didn't Know About Park Shin Hye | Congrats Park Shin Hye!!!!

As You May or May Not Know, Park Shin Hye is Turning 25 (or 26 in Korean years) on February 18!

This means that Park Shin Hye has been acting for over 12 years now. That's a lot to say for a person in their twenties. She is quite accomplished.

  1. She Was A Child Actor| She played the younger version of Han Jung Suh in Stairway to Heaven when she was 13 years-old
  2. She went to acting school| Her training included acting, singing, and dancing
  3. She has received over 23 awards|
  4. She's still in college| majors in Theater at Chung-Ang University
  5. She's a  goodwill ambassador and a philanthropist|

It's funny and waxing nostalgic to look back at the last decade and remember all the things she has done.

A Snapshot of Her Dramas:

Tree of Heaven:

In this Faux-incest drama, Park Shin Hye plays a Japanese-Korean girl who falls in love with her step-brother. Yikes!

You're Beautiful:

Yep, Fur Dude in the middle there is played by Park Shin Hye. She makes one cute dude. Check her out in this Gender Bender Rock Band Drama!!

Flower Boy Next Door:

Starring next to Yoon Shi Yoon in this super cute drama. Check it out; there's stalking, a cute panda, and Italian mobsters. It's Awesome (notice that I have capitalized 'awesome').

Heirs:

Park Shin Hye plays a poor girl who falls in love with a rich boy. Seems typical, right? Wrong. The high schoolers are in actuality grown men. Who are very attractive.

Pinocchio:

Park Shin Hye as a High School student and as a reporter. Plus, all this is next to the super smoky Lee Jung Suk.

Post Drama Depression is real. The highly anticipated yet much feared ‘Last Episode’ has left countless in emotional crisis. Awww Cha Jae Wan

Aw Man, Cha Jae Wan has been sooo emotional these past few days. I mean who can blame the man? His life categorically sucks. His dad is psycho, he can’t trust anyone, his girlfriend can’t cook (lol), there is tons of mystery surrounding his birth, and then to top it all off, he got fired by none other than the woman he loved the most, the very same woman who destroyed his taste buds. If I were him, I would cry too. All the time, in fact.
On the real though, have you ever had to eat something that was disgusting out of respect for someone? Or to please them? 😥
When my dad made my lunch as a kid, he would put weird stuff in there, like peanut butter and cheese sandwiches. 😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖
It was pretty bad.
Serving bad food is just disrespectful; especially to people you love. Not everyone is as understanding as Cha Jae Wan.
Guyz! Don’t be Ah Mo Ne. Only cook good food, or don’t do it all.
Love, Unnie. 😚😘😚😘😚😘😚😋

Surprise

For the purposes of this article we will refer to the collective stereotypes of second female leads with the pronouns “she” and “her”.
Lol, What do you guys think of the second female lead? She’s typically the vicious-clingy-sabotage-y type. She knows she won’t get the guy, but she tries anyway. Have you ever wanted to hide in bushes when she’s alone, jump out, and be like, “Surprise, Harlot!”? Well, I have. Someone needs to teach her a lesson. And why is she always smarter than than the female lead? It can be so frustrating to see the lead get set back just because the seconds can’t wave the white flag.
******************
That ahjumma’s face though. Its says: “Try me, hoe.” The purple shirt gal is just shocked. She clearly did not know she was getting a scalp-ectomy that day. This pic is from “Jang Bo Ri is Here!” It’s a patience-trying but highly rewarding drama. If you have the tenacity, will-power, and good nature to stick it out for 50 episodes, I recommend.
Do you guys like my new cover art? I made it myself. I did pretty good, right? I did it for your aesthetic pleasure. You’re welcome.
Love,
Unnie 😚♡
